[aadl]: News about AADL

Sept 2005: Ford and Toyota have become voting members of the SAE AADL 
Subcommittee.

Oct 2005: The European Commission ASSERT 29 member consortium project 
led by the European Space Agency, which uses AADL, has first year 
project review.

Oct 17-18, 2005: The first AADL User Workshop  was a success with 70 
attendees.  The workshop proceedings are available

Oct 19-21, 2005: The Error Model Annex document for reliability and 
fault modeling passed ballot.
The graphical annex, programming language annex, and AADL meta model & 
XML/XMI annex are going into print.
We started to work on COTRE concurrency behavior annex and on 
improvements to AADL V1.0.  If interested see SAE AADL standard at

Oct 24, 2005: The SAE AADL team and OMG MARTE team held a coordination 
meeting. Two members of the AADL Subcommittee have joined the OMG MARTE 
proposal team.

Oct/Nov 2005: AADL Subcommittee members presented at JAXA conference, 
DASC 2005, SigAda 2005.

Nov 8, 2005: Release of Cheddar 
<http://beru.univ-brest.fr/%7Esinghoff/cheddar/> with AADL support by 
University of Brest.

Nov 17, 2005: Airbus led TOPCASED <http://www.topcased.org> project 
releases open source their open source toolset V0.6. It includes a first 
prototype of a graphical AADL editor.

Nov 22, 2005: SEI releases Open Source AADL Tool Environment (OSATE) 
V1.1 with support for AADL with errata sheet and the XML/XMI standard of 
AADL.

Nov/Dec 2005:  The OSATE team and the TOPCASED are now actively working 
on integrating the two environments.

Nov 2005: The aadl.info website will get redesigned.  User input is 
welcome (email to info at aadl.info).
