In fact, the Allowed_Transport_Protocol would be defined by the AADL_Project file - and this file can be extended by the tool or user so that they can include other components as well. For example, tools like Ocarina and OSATE have different values for these types/enumeration.

Julien,

A formal bus protocol property such as the one proposed here would help improve the fidelity for our model based development, and offer an improved interface for models intended for upward integration into our customers systems.

Regarding the "allowed transport protocol" enumeration, is it practical to implement this in such a manner that the enumeration is open ended, or allows replacement of an exist protocol by a user defined protocol?  The intent of this question is to allow the user to introduce their own protocol, or introduce new protocols that are not yet invented.
