Hi Bruce et. al. 

It is indeed possible to download and configure the Webex client from
that site.  However, I did not see a way to test it.  I tried going to
the SAE virtual conference center site (vcc.sae.org), where there were
some free videos.  However, in each case, an error message came up which
stated in essence that the streaming file did not exist (in very small
print that subsequently disappeared) . 

Any suggestions about how to verify the success of the installation?

Hi Myron,

Thank you for the excellent feedback.  We will have to limit the time
for this meeting, I assume to perhaps 3 hours per day, to ensure good
cross coverage in Europe and the US.  Though the SAE, we have the
potential now to use webex with voice support, so a separate phone call
will not be needed! Some may have to use webex at home, that is my case,
but I have done this before with no problem.  Dorothy as provided a test

We join you in looking forward to Peter's complete recovery.   

A web meeting can be productive if (1) we have good connectivity for
voice and (2) presentations are distributed in advance (Internet
bandwidth capable of supporting net meetings is not always reliable).
Specifically, can have additional voice channels than just Skype (while
not precluding for users for whom it is suitable)? 

Here are our agenda requests: 

1.  Behavior annex:  in particular, tools and OSATE support.   

2.  Error annex:  making the representation of error propagation easier,
properties to support automated FMEAs and fault trees. 

3.  Research reports.  This was the most informative part of the last
meeting.  I hope that room in the agenda can be made for many
presentations.  We offer presentations on our FMEA generator and our
standard satellite architecture and error models.

Dear All,

As most of you know, Peter had to have surgery to remove a tumor on his
kidney.  The operation went well and he is in recovery now at home.
However, the doctor wants him to wait some time before returning to
work.  It seems best to cancel the Denver meeting and substitute a web
meeting.  Please email me with what you would like to cover at the web
meeting and I will put together the schedule.  We for sure would want to
work any of the annexes, especially the error modeling annex and should
work the errata.  I'm also very interested in your advances.  We've got
some nice work to report on with SAVI and the Army in the reliability
and safety domain.  Also we can also report on a new method for system
upgrade analysis using the AADL.  The SEI has a great demonstration of
optimization through formal analysis of multiple system properties.  

Save your travel dollars for January in Florida,
